Writing Tip #1 - More To Writing

There's a lot more to writing than putting words to a page

Writing is more than the mechanics of putting words on a page. When I am walking, cooking or staring out a window, I can also be writing. Ideas flow through my brain constantly, but I can only write them if they are clear enough to see.

My novels can take a lot of processing time before I am able to move the story forward. When I do write a scene, it can surprise me with some emotional triggers. Then it takes time to understand the emotion and feel confident again. All the while, I let the ideas continue to process in the background of my mind.

It is important to understand that the rest in between the words and projects is as important as the words and projects themselves.
