Writing Tip #5 - Do Something Fun

Do Something Fun!

I find that I get too serious, too often. I get stuck in the stories in my own head and forget to laugh and have fun. Especially with the state of the world right now, it can be hard to find the humor in the situation. However, that weighted, severe attitude stifles creativity. Life is hard and complicated, but how much are we exacerbating our reality by not allowing ourselves enjoyment [pleasure, satisfaction]?

I am choosing my words carefully because I know there are some serious [heavy, impactful] events happening right now. A sense of humor is important, especially when the going gets tough. Get out of your own head and go do something just for the fun of it. As you release the tension, the creativity will have an opportunity to flow.
