{Monday Musings} Enough

Enough means sufficient - adequate to accomplish a purpose or meet a need.

Enough doesn’t mean you have to do or be it all.

We live in a society where any lack is enough to spur doubt. That inner monologue begins and you think, "if I can’t do everything, then I can’t do anything." Or "if I can’t be the best, then I don’t need to do it at all."

These are lies.

The reality is, there will always be someone who can do a skill better. They will put more time and energy into it than you would consider possible. They will have made more mistakes than you have even attempted.

The point is to not give up. Keep trying and changing and learning and growing. That is how we get better, by doing and failing and doing again.

We can’t do everything. We aren't perfect. We aren’t meant to be.

When I say “I am enough,” I mean I have purpose. I can meet my needs. I have what it takes. I am unique. I matter.

I am enough means I can bravely be me.
