{Wordless Wednesday} Western USA Fire and Smoke

Hoh Campground
Olympic National Forest
Forks, WA

I walked out to the river and could not even see the mountain. Unlike the mists from the sea, this smoke is thick and brings an orangey haze to the air. I feel an eerie silence as I stand among the trees. The fires are burning all around us, from Eastern Washington, Oregon, and California. May the rains of this week begin to get them under control.

Are you in the smoke paths? Wishing safety for all.

Peace and Love,
