Weather Report: The Perimeter Walk

The storm has officially passed, leaving behind a bit of a mess. It’s chilly, quiet, and time to assess the 'gravity' of the situation.

I did a perimeter walk today to see what came down. Most of it is just small stuff, but there’s a large pine limb that didn't quite make it. It’s a good reminder that when things get heavy enough—whether it’s ice on a branch or stress in your mind—eventually, gravity takes over.

There’s no reason to fear the 'crack' of things falling; awareness is what keeps you safe. I’m staying inside today, focusing on being productive with my writing and studying. I’ve learned that you don't have to clean up every 'fallen limb' in your life the second the storm ends. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is stay in the warmth, stay safe, and wait for the right season to clear the debris.

Today’s forecast: Check your perimeter, acknowledge what fell, and then give yourself permission to head back inside. You don’t have to fix it all today.

You’ve got this!
