Weather Report: The Sacred Pause

Today there is a heavy quiet of over a foot of snow. The car is snowed in, the roads are gone, and for a while, the world has simply stopped moving.

I had to call out of work today. There’s a lingering stress in that—not wanting to be unreliable—but when the city asks us to stay home for safety, listening is the only reliable choice. It means I’ve been given another unexpected day to write, create, and just be.

This snow isn't going anywhere for a while; it’s below freezing and the plows have a long day ahead. Instead of frustration, I’m choosing to step into a 'sacred pause.' The goal today isn't to get ahead; it’s to quiet the noise inside my head until it matches the silence outside. Sometimes nature has to build a wall of snow just to get us to finally sit still.

Today’s forecast: Lean into the stillness. If you’re stuck, don't just wait—reflect. Quiet the noise and listen to the silence.

You’ve got this!
